Mrs White said she had fought the case not for herself but for the wider left, who have been constantly attacked over the last five years by unsubstantiated allegations of anti-Semitism.

November 30 2019, Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi (Jewish Voice for Labour) says IPSO finds Jewish Chronicle guilty of multiple breaches of Editorsí Code and sets the judgment in context

December 02 2019, the Press Gazette said the JC had been rapped by IPOS over lack of evidence.

December 02 2019, Tony Greenstein (socialist, anti-Zionist, anti-racist) said the JC was heavily criticised by IPSO for lying about Audrey White and refusing to either retract the lies or co-operate with an investigation

February 20 2020, The Jewish Chronicle has apologized to "a Labour activist" for libeling her over "anti-Semitism". The UK newspaper admitted on its website it had published allegations about Mrs Audrey White, "some of which were untrue."

February 21 2020, investigative journalist Asa Winstanley reported that the libel settlement came after the UK press regulator ruled that the paperís articles about White (all written by Lee Harpin) had been "significantly misleading" and that the paper had engaged in "unacceptable" obstruction of their investigation.

February 22 2020, Skwawkbox said the JC gave an apology and compensation out of court for "litany of lies"

February 23 2020, JFJFP said the libel settlement comes after IPSO ruled that the JCís four articles about White had been "significantly misleading" and that the paper had engaged in "unacceptable" obstruction of their investigation.

Ballet Dev said JC political editor Lee Harpin made a number of false allegations in four separate stories against a Merseyside pensioner.

The financial consequences of paying costs and substantial damages has forced the Jewish Chronicle to seek a merger with the free newspaper Jewish News.
